Announcement｜Price Alert function is officially open for public testing

Dear Aresians, we have a major technical development to share with you. The price alert feature based on the Ares chain has passed several internal tests by the team and is now open for public use.

Price Alert is another useful tool developed by Ares Protocol based on the Ares chain after the launch of the mainnet. It uses an optimized data source from Warehouse, Ares Protocol’s standard database, to provide users with a customized cryptocurrency price alert service. When the market price fluctuates, you can use it to set price position alerts and trade more easily and accurately.

Currently, the Price Alert feature is available to users for free for a limited time. All you need to do is use your Gladios account and receive a full amount of test coins to experience the feature for free. At the same time, we will also open a reward campaign, the official team will give a generous reward for early participation in the Price Alert feature experience and provide valuable rewards.

Price Alert Instructions for Use

User Login

The account is a Gladios account

If you do not have an account, first create one

Method A: Log in Polkadot{.Js} Wallet

Enter the page https://polkadot.js.org/extension/ and open Polkadot{.Js} wallet; add an extension to Chrome or Firefox.

2. After adding Polkadot{.Js} extention program, click [ + ], to add your account.

3. Select [ Allow use on any chain ], and type your account name and password. Click [ Add the account with the generated seed ]

4. Please be noted to choose [ Allow use on any chain ], to ensure your operation will be proceeding normally in Gladios.

5. Open the test network Gladios: http://js.aresprotocol.io/?rpc=wss%3A%2F%2Fgladios.aresprotocol.io#/explorer allow Polkadot{.Js} to access.

6. Click [ accounts ] and choose [ accounts ] in the drop-down list.

7. In [ my accounts ], your account in Polkadot{.Js} will be automatically recognized.

Method B: Create Ares Account

Open the following page https://js.aresprotocol.io/?rpc=wss%3A%2F%2Fgladios.aresprotocol.io#/explorer/

Step 1

Enter Ares APPS, click “Accounts” in the navigation bar at the top of the window, and click “Add account”, as shown above.

Step 2

The account’s mnemonic seed value. Make sure to save the mnemonic seed in a safe place and check “I have saved my mnemonic see safely”.

Step 3

Enter your account name and password, then click “Next”.

Step 4

Click “Save”, this account will backup on your device by default. Please see your backup file.

Step 5

In My Account, the account you just created will be displayed.

Price Alert

Go to the price alert page, https://prediction.aresprotocol.io/, connect your wallet, and automatically access your account.

If you don’t have enough balance, you can click “facet” to receive test coins. Jump to https://t.me/AresProtocolBot to enter the chat window.

Type /drip the address of the Gladios account you copied (note the spaces)

When you have sufficient ARES, you can use the Price Alert function. Click “Price Alert” to enter the price alert screen.

Bind your email first (this is important, all the price warning alerts that are set will be sent to your email first).

After the mailbox is bound, enter the reminder interface.

Add price alerts

Click “add” to add price alerts.

Fill in the parameters you want to be alerted about. Select the trade pairs you need, set them to the corresponding prices, and set the prompt interval, as well as the labels and the number of reminders.

Of course, in addition to being able to set the price, you can also choose to be alerted when the current price is increased or decreased by a certain percentage.

After “add reminder”, make a wallet transaction, and you will get an alert that it was successfully added.

The price alerts you add will appear on the alert information page.

Get price alert records

Way 1: Get the message in the notification records

Click “notification records” to see the price alert triggered by the settings.

It can be briefly understood that the relevant transaction pair reaches the expected price.

Way 2: Check by mailbox

When the price reaches the value that needs to be alerted, your bound mailbox will receive the message in time. Such an alert will cost you one notice time.

Modify price alert settings

Select the price alert trading pair that needs to be modified. Click “Modify” to make changes.

Modify the relevant parameters according to your needs to form a new price reminder. (Any parameter can be modified when the number of modifications will involve the return or addition of the remaining amount)

When the prompt to update is complete, you will be able to see the latest price alert information.

About billing instructions

1、The ARES-Reminder security deposit system consists of two parts: “Fee Security” + “Excess Security”.

2、The fee deposit is used to pay for the notification, currently, 1ARES is deducted for each notification, and the remaining fee can be viewed in Gladios's account as “Reserved”.

3、Overcollateral is used to maintain network security, currently, the over-collateralization rate is 100ARES per transaction, the cost of collateral can be found in Gladios's account “reminder lock”.

4、Return of fee collateral, when the “reminder” is removed from the chain, the remaining fee minus the notification fee will be automatically removed from staking, and the remaining part can be transferred to and from the user freely. The full amount of the excess collateral will be released automatically and the user can transfer it in and out freely.
